Sitting four points clear at the top of the National League and on a fourteen game unbeaten run this season.
Bromley face probably their toughest game of the campaign yet when they travel down to Somerset to face Yeovil Town at Huish Park on Saturday.
The Ravens extended their lead at the top with a 1-0 home win over Woking on Tuesday nightthanks to a first half goal from top scorer Michael Cheek and a superb defensive display. Neil Smith’s side have won by a single goal in all but one of their eight league victories so far this season, although they certainly have created more than enough chances in their last two games for this not to have been the case. Smith pointing to the fact that his team should have killed both matches off by making more of their opportunities in front of goal.
After a tricky start following relegation from League Two, Yeovil have picked up and a 3-1 away win over Aldershot on Tuesday night saw them move up to fourth with 25 points from 13 matches played, drawing only once. New manager Neale Marmon assembling a side that looks more than capable of competing for an immediate return to the Football League, winning their last six games.
The two sides met back in their Isthmian League Premier Division days with The Glovers winning all of five their home games against Bromley, including the title deciding match back in April 1988. In fact The Ravens haver only beaten Yeovil once, 2-0 back in September 1987 at Hayes Lane thanks to two Alan Scotting goals.
This promises to be an enthralling encounter between two in form sides looking to extend winning runs and maintain their places in the early stages of the promotion race.
