Gillingham announced this afternoon that Will Wright has left the club and signed for fellow League Two side Crawley Town.
Wright who joined the Gills last summer following relegation to League Two, departs after just one season at the club.
Last season he made 46 appearances for the club and scored twice whilst in a Gills shirt.
Wright has moved to the Broadfield Stadium for an undisclosed fee on an initial one year deal, with the option to extend for a further year.
This season the 26-year-old was likely to find himself down the pecking order at centre half behind Max Ehmer, Connor Masterson and recently signed Shadrach Ogie, and has moved in search of more game time.
