Welling United have announced that two more of their squad players have been sent out on loan.

Stephen Camacho and Connor Heffernan have both been loaned out after being left on the bench for the majority of the season.

Camacho, who has come off the bench three times in ten games for the Wings, has joined Kent Hurlimann League side Sevenoaks Town, whilst Heffernan, who has only managed one solitary appearance this season so far, has signed for Ryman League Division One North outfit Thamesmead Town.

Player-manager Jamie Day said of the decision: “We have let Steve Camacho go to Sevenoaks to play games and monitor his performances as I feel he needs to play some first-team football. The same goes for Connor who is going to Thamesmead.”

These deals mean four Welling players have been loaned out in a week with Oliver Poole and Quentin Conteh also leaving Park View Road.

Meanwhile, Welling have signed young striker Tamer Tuna on non-contract forms after previously training with the squad.

Tuna was released from his contract at Charlton at the end of last season and has now re-joined the Wings after a loan spell in 2010. Jamie Day spoke about Welling’s new signing.

“He is a player that has trained with us for a couple [of weeks] and looked sharp. I like him as a player and adds another attacking option. He now has a chance to kick start his career again.”
