The Invicta Dynamos latest road trip ended in defeat as they were beaten 6-3 by the Wightlink Raiders in the league.
Kevin Parrish’s side travelled to the Isle of Wight full of expectation and with a fully fit roster in which to choose from, but failed to live up to previous visits and came back to Kent with nothing.
The home side took the lead in the ninth minute only for Callum Fowler to level shortly before the end of the first period.
It was a tight and tense second period with the Raiders going 2-1 up in the opening nineteen seconds, but two goals from captain Anthony Leone by the 24th minute saw the Dynamos take the lead.
However, that was to be the end of their scoring for the night with the home side getting back on level terms three minutes before the end of the second.
With the game in the balance and up for taking, it was Wightlink that stepped it up in the final twenty minutes, scoring three unanswered goals.
The defeat sees the Raiders leapfrog the Dynamos into second place in the league on goal difference, with the Raiders to take on league leaders Chelmsford Chieftains on Sunday night.
As for the Dynamos, they return to Gillingham to take on the Streatham Redskins on Sunday evening in the knowledge that a win would send them top of their cup group.
