A masterclass from the Invicta Dynamos ensured they demolished league leaders Wightlink Raiders in the NIHL Southern Cup on Saturday night.

In the first of the two meetings between the two sides over the weekend, it was the Dynamos that well and truly came out on top over on the Isle of Wight.

Four goals from Juraj Huska and one apiece from Jakub Klima, Elliot Knell and Callum Fowler saw the Dynamos home to what was a shock victory against the favourites to take the cup in their own barn.

It couldn’t have gone any better for the Dynamos as they led 1-0 at the end of the first period and 4-0 at the end of the second, stunning the hosts.

The Raiders clawed one back to make it 5-1 early in the third period, but clinical finishing from the Kent side made it 7-1 by the end of the sixty minutes.

Both sides meet again on Sunday night in Gillingham in the first of the Dynamos’ Southeast Trophy fixtures with face off at 5:15pm.
