Bromley travelled to newly promoted Ryman League Div One South side Whyteleafe and played their first ever senior game on an artificial pitch running out convincing winners in an entertaining game.
The home side started brightly as The Ravens took a little while to find their feet on the 4G surface, but on their first real attack they took the lead when Sam Higgins finished smartly with his left foot past Ceesay.
Bromley made it 2-0 on 12 minutes when Ugo Udodji crossed for Higgins to net his second with a strong header.
Adam Birchall went close a couple of times before Louis Dennis made it 3-0 on 29 minutes with a superb strike from the edge of the box leaving Ceesay with no chance.
Graham and Marchant should have done better with headers for the home team while Reece Prestedge had a goal ruled out for offside and Harry Grant went close. Leafe pulled one back on 43 minutes with Bentley Graham just forcing the ball over the line.
The start of the second half saw Whyteleafe have their best spell of the game with Seb Brown saving three times from Pratt, Clayton and Graham, but then The Ravens settled down and pushed on.
Birchall shot just wide before Prestedge lobbed Highstead from 30 yards the ball bouncing in off the bar and just over the line, confirmed by a puff of rubber crumb as the ball landed behind the line!
Three minutes later the scoring was completed when Birchall scored his long awaited first goal with a well struck low free kick from 20 yards to make it 5-1.
The Ravens continued to press with the impressive Dennis forcing saves from Highstead on five occasions, while Moses Ademola was just off target twice.
The match was a good workout for Mark Goldberg’s side and saw much needed first goals for Higgins & Birchall who look certain to be the front two with Jamie Slabber still out injured.
