Whitstable Town v Bromley preview

Bromley travel down to the coast on Tuesday night to face Whitstable Town of the Ryman League Division One South in the Kent Senior Cup second round at Belmont Road.

Whit v SP

The Oystermen defeated Sittingbourne in the previous round where as The Ravens fielding a team of Academy and squad players won 2-0 at Dover, setting up a match between two sides who have rarely met at senior level.

Although back in 1984 older Bromley fans will remember being knocked out of the FA Cup by the home side in what at the time was something of a giant killing.

Following Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Altrincham Mark Goldberg has said he will use the tie as an opportunity to give players returning from injury valuable game time ahead of Saturdays National League fixture at Macclesfield.

While The Oystermen, who are currently looking for a new manager, will be hoping to bounce back from the 3-1 home defeat to Three Bridges in the league on Saturday, which left them bottom of the table with seven points from twenty two games.

It should be an interesting game with both sides aiming to make the quarter finals.
