On Saturday, Welling United travel to Weymouth hoping to get back to winning ways.
Last weekend, the Wings were very poor in a three nil defeat at Concord Rangers so manager Mark Goldberg made five changes, two enforced, when Eastbourne Borough visited Park View Road on Tuesday evening.
It was partly successful as Welling kept a clean sheet but they showed little up front in a gritty goal-less draw.
Nathan Green, Josh Oyinsan and Luke Rooney replaced Montel Agyemang, Adam Coombes and Gavin McCallum, Aaron Cosgrave replaced the injured Bradley Goldberg and Ejiro Okosieme came in for a league debut for the suspended Sanchez Ming.
Although, they were better organised they still struggled to string passes together and struggled to create chances. On the plus side, Jack Jebb played the final twenty minutes and although it maybe a week or two before he is fit enough to play ninety minutes, it was a step in the right direction.
Bradley Goldberg is expected to be fit enough to return at Weymouth meaning that only Ming should be unavailable. He has started a long ban following an incident when he was still at Dulwich Hamlet. Had Welling knew that the charge was pending they would probably not have allowed Dquame Copeland to go out on loan for a month.
Weymouth also drew nil-nil on Tuesday, away to Oxford City, and after five matches unbeaten at the start of the season they have not won in the last four. At home, they have won two, drawn one and lost one and are currently one point but four places above the Wings.
There is one former Wing in the Terras squad. Josh Wakefield had a spell at Park View Road on loan from AFC Bournemouth and also played against Welling two seasons ago whilst at Poole Town.
