Bromley suffered their first away defeat of the season on Saturday as they lost 2-1 at Weymouth, not helped by having conceding two goals in the first seven minutes and having two players sent off early in the second half.
With four players missing from the squad due to injury and suspension, Frankie Raymond moved into midfield and Chris Bush slotted into the left back position.
The game got off to the worst start possible for The Ravens, who for a strange reason were wearing blue rather than white against a team in claret and blue, when Mark Cousins brought down Dallas in the box and Referee Massey pointed to the spot.
Dallas powered his penalty high into the top corner of the net to make it 1-0 to The Terras. Only five minutes later it was 2-0 when Dallas again found the net, this time with a near post flick from a low cross as the Bromley defence appealed for off side.
Bromley struggled to get going, relying on set pieces and long throws to create any chances, while Weymouth looked a threat every time they went forward.
Just before the half hour mark Michael Cheek put The Ravens first chance over the bar and had another shot saved by Ross in the home goal, which sparked a good spell from Neil Smith’s side.
Two minutes later they pulled a goal back when Chris Bush’s long throw was turned in by Joe Kizzi at the front post to make it 2-1 and they looked the stronger side going into the break.
Bush had a shot go wide, while Taylor Maloney saw his 25 yard free kick tipped on to the bar by Ross. The second half started brightly for Bromley with Frankie Raymond and Ben Williamson having shots saved by Ross, but they then suffered a huge blow when Bush was shown two yellow cards in the space of a few minutes and was sent off on 53 minutes.
The first yellow for a shove off the ball and the second for a ridiculous unnecessary foul on Camp in the middle of the pitch. With the long throw threat now gone Bromley had to try and create some alternative attacking options with Smith changing to a 3-4-2 formation bringing on Jack Holland and Courtney Duffus.
The Ravens pressed again from there with Cheek having two efforts saved and Raymond having a free kick held by Ross.
Weymouth then settled and tried to take the tempo of the game down with good spell of passing possession. Bromley’s task was made even harder on 78 minutes when Charlie Wakefield was also sent off for pushing Camp to the ground after a heavy challenge in midfield.
The Ravens still tried to press with Smith sending on James Alabi to add even more attacking options, but with The Terras sitting deep and looking to catch Bromley on the break nothing cane of it.
Weymouth were reduced to ten men themsleves in injury time when Ngallo was show a second yellow for a foul on Duffus, but Raymond’s resulting free kick was cleared and despite the best efforts of the nine men, Bromley came away from their trip to Dorset empty handed, indiscipline and errors costing them.
The fourteenth placed Ravens now have to regroup ahead of Tuesday nights National League home game with Kings Lynn Town at Hayes Lane, missing Bush & Wakefield on top of the other absentees.
