Following Welling United’s morale boosting draw at Woking, they now start a run of three consecutive home games.

FOOTBALL (WELLING AWAY)

Eastleigh visit on Easter Monday keen to atone for their surprise defeat to Dover Athletic on Saturday. Despite the loss, they are still well placed in the hunt for a play-off place.

Injuries rule out Wings player manager Loui Fazakerley and influential defender Jamal Fyfield. Michael Chambers missed the game at Woking through illness and he will be assessed on Monday. Chris Bush serves the final game of his three match suspension so will also miss out.

Earlier in the season, Eastleigh claimed the points in a 3-1 victory. Malachi Hudson gave Welling an early lead but James Constable equalised within three minutes.

Constable put the Spitfires ahead soon after the break and Will Evans made sure of the points with a third goal, three minutes from the end.

Eastleigh have a good record at Park View Road having been the only club to win there in Welling’s last two seasons in the Conference South.

Manager Loui Fazakerley knows how important it is for the Welling supporters to play a part. “They set the atmosphere. The fans can be the extra push they (the players) need. These next few games are massive.”
