Although in different divisions, Bromley and Welling United will meet for the second time this season.
When they met in the F.A. Trophy at Hayes Lane, Welling shocked the hosts with a 2-1 victory after going behind.
Jack Holland got on the end of Adam Cunnington’s flick to put the Ravens ahead in just the sixth minute. However a deep Danny Waldren cross deceived everyone else and sneaked in at the far post before half time.
It looked like the tie was going to go to a replay before Cunnington conceded on the edge of the area. Adam Coombes stepped up and fired into the roof of the net.
Now the teams meet again at Park View Road in the Kent Reliance Senior Cup, however neither Cunnington nor Coombes will be involved as they have since moved on.
There are a number of players who will enjoy playing against their former club if they are fit and given the opportunity. For Bromley George Porter has been injured recently, but Tobi Sho-Silva has recently returned from a lay-off and may be given a start.
Pierre Joseph-Dubois of Welling will also miss out through injury but Sean Francis and Waldren may get the chance to lock horns with former team-mates.
Although both teams are prioritising league points, the victors of this tie will have the temptation of a home tie against Charlton Athletic in the semi-final so will be keen to win.
