There is a big firework display at Danson Park on Saturday night but Welling United will be hoping to put on their own show at their Park View Road ground that backs on to the park.
After the disappointment of their F.A. Cup defeat last weekend, Welling United have a great chance to put it behind them when they host Vanarama Conference league leaders Barnet on Saturday.
Jamie Day’s team will be keen to show their supporters that their poor performance in the cup was a one-off. Going into the game at Maidstone United, they had been playing well and they will look to regain the form.
They are unbeaten at home and they dismantled Nuneaton Town with a 4-1 victory in their last game on home soil. Harry Beautyman and Tyrone Marsh scored twice each that afternoon but the latter may not be available this weekend having limped off injured at the Gallagher Stadium.
Aristide Bassele was also injured at Maidstone so he too may miss out. However Day and Chris Bush have completed suspensions and will be in contention along with new loan signings Benjamin Buchel and Michael Chambers.
Visitors Barnet are in outstanding form and will give the Wings a stern test. The Bees are eight points clear at the top of the league and have won six and drawn two of their nine away games. Their defeat at Macclesfield has been their only loss on the road so far,
In the corresponding game last season, Joe Healy put Welling ahead, but despite playing for over an hour with ten men, Barnet earned a share of the points when Keanu Marsh-Brown converted a penalty.
Both teams will be keen to claim the points, for different reasons, so all is set for an enthralling tussle.
