Welling Town Football Club have announced the opening of a new academy for the club, allowing another option for young footballers to further their experience of the sport.

The academy will launch ahead of the upcoming 2019/20 season and will offer 16-19 year old budding footballers a chance to play football under high level coaches whilst also offer a chance for young players to continue full time education.

This is the next step in a big summer for the club, whose first team won promotion to the Southern Counties East Football League last season and this academy will be the newest of 23 youth teams at the club.

There are a number of benefits to being part of the team including qualifications in sport and coaching, as well as an opportunity to play in the FA Youth Cup.

There are four trial days during which potential players can showcase their skills and these are:

Saturday 15th June, 9:30 – 11:30am

Saturday 22nd June, 9.30am – 11.30am

Saturday 6th July, 9.30am – 11.30am

Saturday 20th July, 9.30am – 11.30am

All dates are held at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy in Eltham.
