Welling United manager Loui Fazakerley has added to his first team squad with three new signings as the club look to fight their way out of the relegation zone.

Since Tom King returned to parent club Millwall, the Wings have only had one first team goalkeeper on their books. As admirably as Mike McEntegart has performed, goalkeeping coach, Rob Gagliardi has been covering on the substitute’s bench so it was evident that another custodian was required.

That has been rectified by bringing in Marek Rodak on loan from Fulham for the rest of the season. The 19 year old is rated highly at Craven Cottage having been given a contract until 2018.

Also joining the club is former Charlton Athletic youngster Kadell Daniel. Having been released by the Addicks in the summer, the midfielder joined Woking where he played ten league games (plus nine substitute appearances) scoring three times.

The 21 year old also made one (plus one from the bench) cup appearances with one goal. One of his starts was in Woking’s 2-0 victory over Welling in August. Whilst at Charlton he had loan spells at Hayes and Yeading United and Torquay United

Another 21 year old, Jake Green, completes the trio of new signings. He played 32 games for Kidderminster Harriers last season, but struggled to get into the team this time around. After maling just three starts he and the Harriers parted company by mutual consent in November and he has joined Welling on non-contract terms.

He has also played against the Wings this season having come on as a substitute in Welling’s one nil victory at the Aggborough in October. Primarily a left back, he can also play midfield and gives the Wings additional cover.
