Webster agrees new Gills deal

Gillingham defender Harry Webster has put pen to paper on his first professional contract at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

The 18-year-old, who made his professional debut earlier this month against Peterborough United in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, is currently a second-year apprentice, can play in both full-back roles and first joined the club as an under-12.

He has signed a deal which extends his stay until the summer of 2027, with a club option of a further year.

On signing his new deal, Harry said: “I am really pleased to have signed and I thank all coaches for their hard work since I have been here. I need to wait for my chance, be patient and take it when it comes.”

The news follows contract extensions for both Ethan Coleman and Joe Gbode.
