Only 17 balls were bowled on day three of Kent’s game with Worcestershire at Tunbridge Wells, as rain disrupted the match once more.
Having only got onto the field at 3.40pm, 19 runs were added in the 2.5 overs bowled, before the rain returned just 12 minutes later with Worcestershire 67-0, still trailing Kent by 191 runs but with just one day left in the game.
In the time that was available, visiting captain Daryl Mitchell moved onto 33, and his opening partner Matt Pardoe onto 30, as four boundaries came in the 17 deliveries.
Umpires Jeremy Lloyds and Steve O’Shaughnessy eventually called time on the third day at 16.20pm.
With the forecast for tomorrow not exactly the brightest, the question is more how much play will be possible before the game ends in the now inevitable draw.
