With a ‘Yellow Warning’ in place for heavy rain in the Sittingbourne area for overnight and all day on Monday, the second leg of the challenge versus Birmingham Brummies scheduled for Monday evening at Central Park Stadium has had be cancelled.
This now means that all of April (from Easter weekend – when what was originally intended to be the Easter Cup between these two foes from the Travel Plus Tours National League [TPNL] – onwards ) has been a wash-out in terms of home matches and now the opening fixture of this delayed start to the 2018 Speedway season at Central Park Stadium will be on May Bank Holiday Monday 7th. May vs Buxton Hitmen in the TPNL.
Meanwhile the second leg of the Challenge with Birmingham (with the Kent SLYDE Kings trailing by 13 points from last Wednesday’s first leg) will now be staged on Monday 23rd. July.
