Wealdstone v Bromley preview
Wealdstone v Bromley preview

Following their impressive point away to the National League leaders on Saturday evening, Bromley are back on the road again tonight when they travel to West London to face Wealdstone.

The Ravens 0-0 draw at Torquay Utd in front of the BT Sport cameras saw then slip to ninth in the table, but still just one point off the place off places on 59 points from 38 games on a superb run of form under new manager Andy Woodman with five wins, three draws and just one defeat since he took over at the end of March.

Woodman is still without the injured Byron Webster, Courtney Duffus & Taylor Maloney, while Kory Roberts & Charlie Wakefield seem to be out of favour.

Jack Bridge also missed the game at Plainmoor, but loan signings Alex Mitchell and Tate Campbell have both impressed since joining from Millwall & Birmingham City.

Wealdstone have had a tough first season back at this level, furloughing a number of their squad in the new year and changing manager with Stuart Maynard taking over in February, they currently sit in nineteenth in the table with 33 points from 38 league matches.

On Saturday they lost 5-0 at home to Dagenham & Redbridge, their seventh consecutive defeat since an Easter Monday win over Barnet.

When the sides met on Good Friday in Woodman’s first match in charge it ended 2-2, with The Stones going two up inside the first sixteen minutes with goals from Gondoh & Smith, before Bromley battled back for a point with Webster & Cheek on the scoresheet.

The last time the two sides met a Grosvenor Vale was back in August 2014 when Bromley won 4-1 on their way to the National League South title.

The Stones will be hoping to turn things around and finish on a positive note as the season enters it’s final few weeks, while Bromley will be looking to move back into the top seven with a win and maintain their play off challenge with any team in the top half still able to make the post season.

The game will be played behind closed doors due to the Covid 19 restrictions, but supporters can live stream the match for £9.99.
