Bromley recorded an impressive win away in Middlesex against newly promoted Wealdstone thanks to two excellent goals in either half.
The Ravens started the game flying and went in front on 4mins when Joe Anderson’s free kick was headed by Adam Bailey-Dennis out to Ali Fuseini who sent in a great cross for Damien Scannell to head home from close range.
Bromley continued to press and went 2-0 up on 10mins when Adam Burchall and Sannell combined to set up Louis Dennis who finished coolly past North.
Wealdstone finally settled and came into the game, but struggled to break down The Ravens defence, their best chace coming when Wright had a shot saved by Seb Brown. Bromley finished the half well though with Scannell and Burchall going close late on.
The Stones started the second half well Collins had a shot saved by Brown, before Bromley started to play some nice stuff again.
Birchall was inexplicably booked for diving when clearly brought down as he ran towards goal and the ex-Gills striker was involved in more drama when Dennis was fouled for a penalty by O’Nien only for Birchall to have his spot kick saved by North.
Scannell shot over soon after and Pierre Joseph-Dubois headed wide from a corner, before The Ravens finally put the game beyond doubt when subs Moses Ademola and Jamie Slabber combined to set up Dubois who drove home from just inside the box for 3-0.
The final goal was arguably the best when on 87mins Ademola cut in from the left and beat three defenders before driving an unstoppable shot past for 4-0 to cap a great team performance.
This win showed what strength their now is in Bromley’s new squad and also character, when the game could have swung either way around the hour mark, Mark Goldberg’s men shifted up another gear to put it beyond doubt.
