Maverick striker, Tony Watt, looks certain to leave The Valley, with Cardiff his likely destination.
The loan window closes on Thursday and it will be interesting to see if the deal is made permanent in January.
Watt arrived from Standard Liege in January and became an instant favourite with the fans. Behind the scenes though, there have been rumours of the Scot not seeing eye-to-eye with the management team.
Watt was relegated to the bench for the season’s opener against Queens Park Rangers after a training ground incident.
The way Watt kept the ball by the corner flag in the win over Nottingham Forest at The Valley in March, will long live in the memory.
Watt made 27 starts, plus a further 9 appearances from the bench, scoring 8 goals during his time with the Addicks.
He has been struggling for form of recent times, but at his best, Watt is a hugely talented footballer. Russell Slade could be the experienced, father figure type manager needed to bring the best out of him on a regular basis.
Charlton will be keen to bring in a replacement before the window closes, and Fraeye may try to further freshen his squad up.
