Margate have today announced that manager Steve Watt has left his position as first team manager with immediate effect. 

His assistants Mike Sandmann and Steve Brown will take up the mantel of managing the club for the foreseeable future.

Watt was tasked with stabilising the club when he arrived at Hartsdown Park and he certainly made a success of that in his time of the management hot seat.

He guided the side to seventh place in the Bostik Premier League in 2018/19, finishing just two points behind Leatherhead who secured the final play-off spot.

Sandmann and Brown will now begin the process of shaping the squad for another promotion fight in 2018/19.
