Canterbury Golf Club professional Richard Wallis scored a one-shot victory in this week’s PGA in Kent Open Championship at Prince’s Golf Course.
Wallis, who in April finished runner-up to Matt Ford in the PGA in Kent Closed Championship, went one better this time after shooting a two-round nine -under-par total of 135 around the Sandwich Bay links.
That left Wallis one shot clear of David Callaway (West Hill) with Scott Stevens (The Ridge) a shot further back.
Wallis, who set up his victory with a superb seven-under-par 65 on Monday, earned £2,000 for his efforts.
