Bromley continued their impressive pre season form with a commanding performance against their Ryman Premier Division hosts from Crayford in very hot conditions on Saturday, with water breaks in both halves.
The Ravens began in attacking Style with Brad Goldberg going close and it was the young striker who made it 1-0 soon after when he latched on to an Anthony Cook through ball and beat Luke Colquhoun.
Cook hit the bar with a free kick, before VCD had a good spell of pressure.
The Ravens held out and after Ugo Udoji had chipped the ball just over Pierre Joseph-Dubois made it 2-0 when he followed up Max Porter’s parried shot.
A few heavy challenges going into the break saw. Tempers fray a little, but Bromley cashed in on their pressure to make it 3-0 whine Alex Wall set up Lee Minshull to finish from close range.
The second half saw VCD have some spells on top while Bromley were guilty of over playing at times.
Moses Emmanuel went close on two occasions, before Alan Julian made two good saves to keep a clean sheet for the visitors and then in the final few minutes Mark Goldberg’s men increased their lead with Louis Dennis finishing off a good run with a cool chip and then Emanuel walked the bal home in injury time after good work by Reece Prestedge left the home defence flat footed.
This was a good work out for both sides and Bromley will face an even sterner defensive test on Tuesday night when they host Gillingham at Hayes Lane.
Bromley Squad: Juilan, Udoji, Anderson, Holland, Devera, Porter, Minshull, Cook, Dubois, Wall, Goldberg.
