Two wins are a must for the Invicta Dynamos this weekend according to Head Coach Kevin Parrish.
Should the Dynamos want to keep their title charge alive, it’s got to be a four point weekend as they face Oxford City Stars at home on Saturday night before heading to champions Chelmsford Chieftains on Sunday evening.
After defeats to the Bracknell Hornets and Solent Devils in the past fortnight, the Dynamos have seen their league title push derailed, but still sit top of the NIHL South.
With Chelmsford sitting second in the league, level on points, but with three games in hand on the Dynamos, it is the Essex side that sit in pole position.
The two teams will go head to head on Sunday night for what could ultimately be a title decider, but before that the Dynamos must make sure they keep the pressure on Chelmsford with victory against bottom of the league Oxford City Stars on Saturday evening.
For Parrish, the two games represent completely different challenges, but the aim remains the same:
“We need two wins to stay in the title race.” said the Dynamos Head Coach.
“We have to keep the pressure on and hope that Chelmsford slip up somewhere and someone else does us a favour.”
“Saying that, we have got to play them twice before the end of the season and we’ve got to focus on us winning games.”
With so much at stake this weekend, fans are expected to come out in their numbers in Gillingham on Saturday night with face off at 5:15pm.
