Two set to arrive at Addicks
Two set to arrive at Addicks

Karel Fraeye took the first team squad paintballing on Tuesday as a team bonding exercise.

Judging by the picture on Patrick Bauer’s Twitter page, Johnnie Jackson took some heavy shots.

Former Barnsley and West Ham striker, Ricardo Vaz Te, is set to join the Addicks on a short term deal.

Vaz Te left West Ham to join Turkish Super Lig outfit, Akhisar Belediyespor, in January. He was released in the summer and has trialed with several English sides without securing a deal.

Now 29-years-old, Vaz Te is 6’2″ tall and a powerful presence up front.

His fitness may be an issue, but with Igor Vetokele ruled out for around three months after undergoing surgery on Tuesday, Karel Fraeye needs more fire power.

The initial deal will give the Portuguese forward the chance to impress and earn a longer deal.

Jobi McAnuff has been on Charlton’s radar before but could soon finally arrive at The Valley. The Jamaican international is now 34-years-old.

He signed a two-year deal with Leyton Orient in the summer of 2014 but has yet to feature for the East Londoners this season.

The Addicks will need to be satisfied about McAnuff’s fitness before they consider bringing him in on loan.

Vaz Te has not played since the summer either, and Charlton will need to assess his fitness and effectiveness before offering him a longer deal.
