Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Nick Pope both completed their moves to Burnley on Tuesday.
The duo are the Clarets’ first signings of the summer.
Sean Dyche has brought Pope in to understudy Tom Heaton. Pope will play in the Cup games, and play in the side if Heaton is injured or loses form.
Gudmundsson is likely to play a more prominent role in the first team. Dyche will be hoping the Icelander will provide the creativity – plus a few goals – to keep the Turf Moor outfit in the top-flight.
There were rumours circulating at the end of last week that Tony Watt had gone missing from Charlton’s training base in Austria.
The Scot’s non-involvement in Saturday’s game against Anzhi Makhachkala added fuel to the rumours.
However, The South London Press has reported that Watt flew back to England early on compassionate grounds.
The talented striker wants to be closer to his family and a loan move to Hearts looks to be on the cards.
The Addicks will fly back to England on Wednesday, and a number of issues could be resolved fairly quickly.
