Kent spinner James Tredwell will spend another month on loan with Sussex playing County Championship cricket.
The 32 year old spinner has spent the past month with Sussex, playing three County Championship games, whilst returning to Kent to play Twenty 20 cricket including Friday night’s win over Somerset at Canterbury.
Having agreed a new deal with Sussex, Tredwell will be in their squad to face Warwickshire at Horsham beginning on Monday,
For Sussex coach Mark Robinson, it is a good move bringing Tredwell back to Sussex, although they might not see much of him: “We’ve got the nod from Kent to bring James back which is really good.” he told The Argus.
“It is a bit of a strange one as we only play one Championship game during the month but he will give us a bit of stability.”
“He catches brilliantly at slip and got some vital runs for us in the three games he played while his bowling gives us control.”
Tredwell is expected to return to the Kent squad for Friday’s T20 clash against Surrey at Canterbury.
