This weekend players from all over Spain will come to England to take on Soccer Elite FA in a game to be watched by Premier League scouts.
Over the past two years Football Tours International (FTI) and Barcelona Sports Tours (BST) have been developing the project Futbol Trials Inglaterra and this year they will take on a Soccer Elite FA side at Hayesbrook Sports College in Tonbridge on Sunday with kick off at 3pm.
FTI and BST have been targeting Spanish academy players who feel they have the ability to play professional football in England.
Their network of scouts based in Barcelona, Madrid, Cadiz and Santander have handpicked a squad of 16 players who will travel to the UK this weekend.
The squad aged 18-23 are all free agents and are looking to impress clubs from all levels of English football and will play fixtures against elite opposition across the country with the first match being against Maidstone based Soccer Elite Football Academy (SEFA).
Soccer Elite FA has been chosen as the leading Academy in the South of England to host this prestigious profile fixture and their partnership within Spain and in particular coaches from Barcelona & Espanyol have led to this 1st phase of ‘player placement’ trips.
Their international and national status with tournaments in Valencia and Barcelona, plus national fixtures against Wales have cemented Soccer Elite FA as chosen partner to FTI in this initiative.
Scouts from the Premier League, Championship, Football League and Conference levels will all be in attendance, giving the players a great opportunity to show their talents.
This will be the first of many ‘cross-fertilisation’ of players at the top level of the game through the SEFA/FTI partnership agreement.
