Canterbury have been named as the best community club in England by the Rugby Football Union.
In the 2016 RFU Presidents Awards, announced before the England v Wales game at Twickenham on Sunday, the club picked up the Community Engagement trophy.
The club emerged as winners for its outstanding efforts in forging links with schools, universities, business and community groups.
Vice-chairman Mick O’Reilly and Business Leader Paul Bushell received the trophy from RFU President Jason Leonard..
” It was an immense honour to represent the club at the event,” said Mick.
“To be named winners justified all the efforts of our members and volunteers in making Canterbury RFC an outstanding club”
