Peacehaven & Telscombe came from behind to take all three points against Tonbridge Angels side at Longmead Stadium.
Tonbridge Angels came out looking like a team that had taken points from the top two as confidence was high & in the 8th minute Marvin Williams low cross saw Anthony Di Bernardo fumble it & it came out to Joe Taylor who had his shot blocked & it came out to Tommy Whitnell & again his shot was blocked & just went past the post for a corner.
Two minutes later Tonbridge had a free kick 25 yards out & Lee Carey stepped up but saw his shot go over the bar then in the 15th minute they took a deserved lead when Williams running at the defence went into the area & was fouled by Josh Jones to concede a penalty which Carey stepped up & hit low into the right hand corner.
The lead did not last long as Peacehaven equalised 4 minutes later with their first effort when the ball was hooked into the area for Tom Burton who chested it down & lobbed Kyle Merson.
This shook Tonbridge as Peacehaven suddenly got to grip with the game & in the 25th minute they took the lead when a corner into the far post found its way to Burton who from 6 yards shot home.
The game went quiet but with Peacehaven probably just the better side without causing any more problems.
The second half started with Tonbridge on the attack & in the 48th minute Williams in the area quickly swivelled but his shot was easily saved by Di Bernardo.
Tonbridge were now enjoying their best spell of the game & in the 63rd minute Williams running across the 18 yard area saw his shot blocked but it came back to him & then he passed to Dee Ojokie who cut back inside & let fly causing Di Bernardo to save it at the second attempt.
Peacehaven were quite happy to attack on the break but until the 84th minute did not cause any real scares & then Josh Jones saw his corner curl in & hit the top of the crossbar & then cleared.
As much as Tonbridge tried they did not look like scoring & Peacehaven were going back to the Sussex coast with the three points in the bag.
