Bromley started the new year with a point away from home in another entertaining game against Tonbridge this time in torrential rain at The Angels’ Longmead Ground.
The home side started the better with Lee Browning going close twice and Jake Beecroft firing over, but Bromley settled in to the game. Rory Hill as denied by Lee Worgan, but often The Ravens advances were let down by a poor final ball.
The second half saw Tonbridge start on top again with Frannie Collin, Mikel Suarez and Beecroft all just wide of the target.
Bromley finally got going on the hour with Hakeem Araba unlucky not to be awarded a penalty when he was floored in the box and soon after Gareth Williams deflected a Salifou Ibrahima shot just over.
The Angels then had another good spell on pressure and took the lead on 77 minutes when Chris Henry curled in a superb effort from 25 yards out.
The Ravens responded straight away though Ibra Sekajja was denied by Worgan before the equaliser came on 79 minutes when Sekajja burst down the left and crossed for Aaron Rhule who turned the ball past Worgan from close range.
On the next attack Danny Waldren’s long range shot forced a save from Worgan although Sekajja was probably better placed on the edge of the box.
Late on The Angels nearly nicked it, but Lee Browning missed his chance and the sides shared the points for the second time in a week.
