Tickets for the Paralympic Games, which include Road Cycling events at Brands Hatch, have returned to sale on a first come, first served basis.
British medal hopes are high for these events, which make use of the venue’s iconic Grand Prix circuit.
Tickets will remain on sale until 18.00 on 6 February 2012 or until they sell out.
The road cycling events will be held at the famous Kent venue from 5-8 September 2012, and medals will be awarded throughout the duration.
In the recent Para-Cycling Road World Championships held in Denmark in September, the British team showed superb form to win a total of 10 medals, including two golds, two silvers and six bronze.
Sarah Storey defended her two world titles, while there were also strong rides from Mark Colbourne, Karen Darke, Simon Price, Rachel Morris and David Stone.
The Para-Cycling Road World Championships are a good indicator of form ahead of the Paralympics, so there’s a strong chance that Britain will figure strongly for medals at Brands Hatch.
One name also familiar to Brands Hatch is Alex Zanardi, the former F1 and World Touring Car driver who lost both legs while racing Indycars in 2001. The Italian, who hopes to compete at the Paralympics, recently won the hand cycling class of the New York City Marathon.
Tickets for all days of the Paralympic Road Cycling events at Brands Hatch are available for £10, and can be booked by calling 0844 847 2012.
