Holcombe players Rohan Bhuhi, Sam Taylor and Matt Ramshaw have all been selected in the England squad for their FIH Pro League fixtures against Argentina and Ireland.
The news follows former Holc Lottie Bingham’s recent selection for England’s women, which included her scoring two goals on her second cap.
Former Holcombe men Sam Ward and Sam Hooper have been selected alongside Bhuhi, Taylor and Ramshaw while Director of Hockey and Men’s 1s Head Coach Kwan Browne is also set to travel to Argentina as England Assistant Coach.
England start their campaign against home side Argentina on 10 December (21:30 local time, 11 December, 00:30 GMT), before taking on Ireland the following day (21:30 local time, 12 December, 00:30 GMT).
They then have a day’s rest before facing Argentina again (13 December, 21:30 local time; 14 December, 00:30 GMT) ahead of a final match against Ireland (14 December, 21 :30 local time; 15 December, 00:30 GMT) to round off the first part of England’s new Pro League season.
Ward, Conor Williamson and Tim Nurse will form England’s captaincy group for the trip.
Men’s Interim Head Coach Zak Jones said: “We are really excited to get going again.
“Obviously there has been a bit of transition after the Olympics but we’ve gone through a Talent Confirmation phase, and we have some new players in.
“We’ve recently had a trip to Belgium and that was really positive start.
“We’re really looking forward to getting out to Argentina and taking on them and Ireland and getting the season started.”
The matches will be available to watch live via Channel 4 Sport’s YouTube channel.
