On the second footballing Saturday of December, there are some outstanding matches for our Kent sides which could have massive implications going into the Festive Period.

In the National League, if Andy Hessenthalers Dover Athletic beat Fylde at Crabble and other results go their way, they could be out of the bottom four by 5:00pm.

At Stonebridge Road, Ebbsfleet United host Barnet whilst our other two sides face long, long trips North.  Neil Smith takes Bromley to Gateshead, whilst Jake Robison could make his Maidstone bow at Barrow.

In National League South, Dartford will look to get back to winning ways as they welcome Slough Town whilst Welling United head for Devon to face the side that beat Dartford in midweek Torquay United, the division’s new leaders.

In the BOSTIK Premier, Tonbridge will look to keep the pressure on leaders Dorking at home to Worthing; Folkestone travel to White Hart Lane to face Cup heroes Haringey Borough on their 3g pitch whilst Hartsdown Park’s 3g pitch sees Margate play Wingate and Finchley.

In the South East, the top eight sides pay each other and included in that are runaway leaders Cray at home in a Metropolitan Kent derby against Phoenix; Fortress Reachfields sees Hythe welcome in form Horsham whilst Tommy Warrilow’s first home game in charge Ashford sees Whyteleafe travel to Homelands.

Elsewhere, its derby day (weather permitting) as Whitstable welcome Herne Bay to the Belmont and it’s the Swale derby at Salters Lane – Faversham v Sittingbourne, whilst VCD are at home to Guernsey in the 2,00 kick off, Lloyd Blackman takes Ramsgate to Three Bridges and Greenwich are at East Grinstead.

Finally in SCEFL, fourth placed Chatham go to League leaders Fisher; second placed Beckenham go to Crowborough and third placed Corinthian are at six placed Sheppey.
