The task ahead for Addicks
The task ahead for Addicks
Karl Robinson said at a recent press conference, that the Addicks would go back into the transfer market before the window closes next Tuesday.

Much will probably depend on how the hierarchy rate ‎the club’s chances of making the play-offs.
The Addicks are currently nine points adrift of sixth place, with a game in hand of most of their rivals.
Charlton currently have 36 points from 26 games. Though it can vary,72 points is normally the target to make the play-offs.
To achieve that, the Addicks will probably need to win 10 of their remaining 20 fixtures, and draw‎ 6 of the other 10.
A decision will probably be made after Saturday’s game at Bolton regarding bringing more players in.
A little run‎ would soon propel Charlton up the table, but thus far, there has been no real sign that they will embark on such a run.
A plethora of injuries, coupled with a season disrupted by postponements due to international call ups, has made it difficult for the team to find consistency.
Saturday’s frozen pitch caused the Scunthorpe game to be called off, which would not have helped.
The Addicks will play seven games in a hectic February schedule, so it is unlikely that the Scunthorpe game can be slotted in before March.
February will be a tough month, Robinson’s team will entertain Fleetwood, Oxford and Bury ‎at The Valley, and face trips to Rochdale, Wimbledon, Oldham and Shrewsbury.
In March, Walsall, Bradford and MK Dons visit The Valley, and Charlton will travel to Northampton and Sheffield United.
Should the Addicks be close to the play-off zone, they could scarcely hope for a better April.
Home games with Southend, Gillingham and Swindon, and trips to Peterborough, Coventry and Chesterfield should give them an excellent chance of having a strong finish.
February looks to be the crucial month, seven games in such a short period of time would stretch any squad.
