In the last 5 years the rise of 3G pitches has been growing every year. Why is this?
The 3G pitches have taken a massive leap in the past 5 years which all has us thinking will this be seen in the Football League.
Artificial pitches are now becoming a big thing as the England FA have pledged a £230 million investment in the next 6 years as they believe it will help grassroots football as there are less factors as these pitches are not affected by weather such as grass pitches.
In the whole of England there are 639 high quality pitches which are easily accessible.
Whereas in Germany there are over 3,500 high quality pitches this could have a direct correlation on the football in the junior levels.
Will the Football League be the next to implement these following in the steps of UEFA who allow European games to be played on artificial pitches?
The likes of Bromley and Maidstone United have gone down this road. Will other Kent clubs follow suit?
