Erith Town Football Club are pleased to announce that they will be returning to Erith and playing all first team fixtures from this forthcoming July at Erith Stadium.
Erith Leisure Centre manager, Matt Webb said “We are delighted to welcome Erith Town back to the stadium. We have fantastic facilities here and we look forward to the community getting behind The Dockers this forthcoming season.”
The Dockers Managing Director Mark Deveney said “It has always been our ambition to take the club back to Erith and be a focal part of the local community. We would like thank Matt and his team for their welome and also to the local community have been very enthusiastic about our return and it is our hope that we will play a genuine active role within Erith itself’.
‘The club have become partners of Erith Fun Day, which takes place on 7th July at the Recreation Ground, and we will be active in and around the community as much as possible. With that in mind we are in discussions with local schools to build positive relationships.’
‘The For Jimmy charity day in April highlighted to everyone what a community club like ours can achieve and we hope that this success will be replicated on the pitch and also by the Youth football section we are putting into place.’
The Dockers last played competitive matches at Erth Stadium in 2013 and spent the last two seasons groundsharing at VCD Athletic in Crayford. The club would like to publicly thank VCD Chairman Gary Rump and his colleagues for all their help during our stay.
