Invicta Dynamos Head Coach Kevin Parrish has revealed that 19 year old defenceman Danny Terry has earned a full roster spot in the NIHL South Division 1.

Terry makes the move to the Dynamos having impressed in his 15 appearances whilst stepping up from the Mustangs so far in 2014/15.

Danny Terry has risen through the junior ranks at the Invicta Dynamos and first iced for the most senior side aged just 16 in 2010/11. He then continued to make fleeting appearances for the Mos whilst spending the majority of his time in the NIHL South’s second tier and developing his game with the Invicta Mustangs.

He featured 24 times for the Division 2 outfit in 2011/12, and managed 4 goals and 2 assists from back on the blue line in the process, before an even better return of 11 points in 21 fixtures the year after.

2013/14 saw him remain with the Mustangs for another 22 games but the new campaign has proven to be a breakthrough season for the defenceman who was called up to a short benched Dynamos in early September and has now earned his full time spot with a string of composed displays.

Speaking on the move of Danny Terry to KSN, Head Coach Kevin Parrish said, “Danny has been playing with us all year and is now going to be pulled up full time. I think he deserves it as we threw him in there at the start of the season and he has been doing a good job so long may that continue.”

“He’s one of the youngsters coming through the ranks at the club and we need to keep developing our own talent and get these boys coming through to the senior side.”

“This is a defining moment for Danny with regards to his hockey career and it’s now up to him to continue his hard work and make the most of the opportunity. He hasn’t looked out of place in the NIHL South Division 1 and I’m sure he will improve even further as the season goes on”.

Danny Terry will continue in the number 2 jersey of the Dynamos who are next in action on Saturday as they travel to Oxford for a league clash against the City Stars.

The Mos will then return home for more English Challenge Cup action as they welcome the EPL’s Bracknell Bees to the Silver Blades in the hope of causing their first upset in the completion.

Faceoff in Kent will be at the usual time of 5.15pm.
