Team HARD. Racing have confirmed the departure of driver Jade Edwards from their line up with immediate effect.

The team are however delighted that Jade will be remaining in the BTCC for the rest of the 2023 season. The decision to part ways has been reached amicably, with both parties mutually agreeing that it is the most favourable outcome for all involved.

During her time with Team HARD. Racing, Jade has exhibited a fantastic attitude and unwavering determination, in what has been a tricky season to date. Her contributions have not gone unnoticed, and her next adventure marks an exciting new chapter in her BTCC journey.

Jade commented, “I want to thank Tony, Jamie and every single person at Team HARD. for their hard work and commitment to the cause – without their efforts, I wouldn’t have made the grid at all this year, so for that, I’m hugely appreciative. Although it’s a shame we won’t finish the year together, there has been nothing but respect between both parties, and we part ways on very good terms.

“I wish them all the best for the remainder of the season.”

With Jade’s departure, Team HARD. Racing finds itself with an opportunity to fill the vacant seat for the remainder of the BTCC season. The team is actively evaluating potential candidates to ensure a seamless transition and to secure a driver who aligns with the team’s vision and objectives for the rest of the season.

Tony Gilham, Team HARD. Racing’s Managing Director added, “It has been a pleasure working with Jade despite it being only a brief spell, we have both come a long way since we last worked together in 2019.

“It is a shame that we will not be completing the season together. However, conversations between all parties since Oulton Park have been good and it is clear that this is the best way forward for everyone.”

In these financially challenging times within the BTCC series, it is encouraging to witness the collaboration between teams. Both recognise the importance of cooperation and solidarity, showcasing the unity and resilience prevalent within the motorsport community.

Team HARD. Racing have expressed its heartfelt appreciation to Jade for her dedication, hard work, and significant contributions during her time with the team.
