The goals and points were shared as both teams came from behind in a see-saw game to secure a draw. City were the first to score but even so, were struggling to get their front line going, while Sheppey managed to move through the gears twice to grab an advantage at the break before City then leveled with a second half penalty.

A bad tempered game ended with a late winner for the hosts, when it clearly wasn’t going to be City’s day after Crowborough had opened the scoring via a huge deflection and despite quickly drawing level, City saw two goals chalked off for tight decisions before the winner was headed home in the last few minutes.

A timely victory for City as they put AFC Croydon to the sword, with a five goal pounding that could quite easily have been ten and wouldn’t have flattered City if it had been.
