Bromley kick off 2017 with a trip to Sutton United in The National League on New Years Day.
Neil Smith’s men are on an excellent run of form having lost only one game in the last two months and they edged a tight encounter at home to Sutton on Boxing Day 1-0 thanks to a 95th minute Louis Dennis strike from outside the box.
Tobi Sho-Silva is expected to be back in contention for this game after injury, although Lee Minshull is still out along with long term casualties Ben May and Alex Wall, but despite these absentees Smith and his management team have managed to put together a settled side and found a successful system for this young squad.
Paul Doswell’s side will be desperate to avenge their injury time heart break last Monday, which left them ruing missed first half chances. In their first season back at this level following promotion The Amber and Chocolates have acclimatised well and currently sit in fourteenth place with 32pts from 25 matches. While The Ravens occupy tenth with 38pts from their 26 games played on a run off three straight wins.
The last time these two sides met in the league at Gander Green Lane Bromley won 2-1 on their way to the Conference South title and this time is sure to be equally as close in front of another good crowd for this cross border derby.
