Bromley progressed to the next round of the FA Cup after just edging out their local rivals Sutton scoring with their only shot on target in the entire game.
Sutton started the brighter, but Bromley improved as the first half went on and got the ball down to play with Albert Jarrett sending a great cross which Pierre Joseph Dubois headed just wide.
Moses Swaibu headed over and Dubois fired wide before Sutton finished the half stronger Stefan Payne going close twice, Anthony Riviere shooting over and Harry Beautyman having a goal bound shot blocked by Aaron Rhule.
The second half was a very scrappy affair Craig Watkins had one effort go wide and another saved by Joe Welch, then Swaibu made an excellent block to deny Payne.
The Ravens who had lost Jarrett to injury at half time his replacement Ali Chaaban to a kick in the ribs early in the second period finally came back into things with 15 mins left and almost out of nothing Dubois found space out wide before cutting inside the box and beating Tom Lovelock from a tight angle before running round behind the goal to celebrate with the travelling fans.
Elliott Buchanan fired over soon after before Mark Goldberg’s side successfully ran the clock down and secure their passage to the third qualifying round.
