There has been widespread speculation on social media that Lyle Taylor is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after damaging his knee ligaments.

There has been no official news, but Charlton are hardly likely to go ‎public if their star man has picked up a knock.

The main factual evidence that there may be something in the story is that Taylor played no part in Montserrat’s latest international.‎ He did not start the game,nor did he come on as a substitute.

There have been images posted, allegedly of Taylor, wearing a knee brace‎, but these are inconclusive. Some of the images are clearly NOT Taylor.

Israeli international, Tomer Hemed, would come in if Taylor was unavailable,‎but the Addicks would not want to be without their talisman for long.

Fans may have to wait until the team is announced on Saturday before the mystery is resolved.

In the meantime, they face an anxious 48 hour wait.
