Super Smith hits 400

Invicta Dynamos club captain and all time highest points’ scorer Andy Smith claimed his 400th goal for the team on Sunday evening as the squad took on the Romford Raiders in the second leg of the ENIHL South Playoff Semi-final at Rom Valley Way.

Andy Smith entered his eighth consecutive season with the Invicta Dynamos when he re-signed in the summer ahead of the 2011/12 campaign and the prolific forward started the new term with 350 goals, 321 assists and so 671 points from just 246 games for the club.

On Sunday, despite the team ultimately seeing their playoff hopes dashed at the hands of the Romford Raiders, Smith then completed another fine season by converting his 50th of the campaign and so his 400th overall in Invicta colours.

Everyone at the Kent Sports News would like to congratulate Andy Smith on his most recent landmark and the forward has now taken his all time statistics to 400 goals, 362 assists and so 762 points in 291 outings for the team.

After a season in which he collected 50 strikes and played a hand in 41 more for a tally of 91, Smith remains both the all time highest goals and points scorer in the club’s fifteen year history.
