Kent racing driver Alex Nevill is feeling confident following his return to the race track at the Mini Challenge Goodyear tyre test at Snetterton in Norwich last week.
Though Alex had already completed one test day at the circuit since lockdown restrictions have begun to be relaxed, the tyre test was the first opportunity for him and the Graves Motorsport team to test among their Mini Challenge Cooper class rivals for the season.
The team, who are new to the championship in 2020 also took the opportunity to unveil their full driver line-up for the 2020 season. With Alex being joined by fellow Motorsport UK Academy squad member Alfie Glenie, and Bradley Gravett.
With heavy rain throughout the day the conditions on track were challenging, but Alex left the circuit feeling very happy with the day’s work.
He said: “It was a really productive day on track for us, and it was so good to be back behind the wheel! We made a lot of progress on our wet weather set up, which had been a weak point last season so that’s a real positive for me.
“It was also great to start working with my new teammates too, there’s a great feeling within the team right now and I’ve never felt more prepared for a season!”
The revised and shortened Mini Challenge Cooper Trophy championship begins on the 22nd & 23rd August at Oulton Park in Cheshire, where the championship supports the British Touring Car Championship and will be broadcast live on ITV4.
