Some of Kent’s golfers earnt some decent prize money after a successful past four days at the Czech Open.Matt Ford

Matt Ford from Bearsted was the highest place Kent golfer finishing tied 15th after ending the four rounds on 12 under par.

Ford will pick up 2,240 Euros for his weekend’s work having gone into the final round just five shots off the lead.

Steven Tiley from Canterbury will take home 1,392 Euros in prize money after a solid weekend, ending the four rounds on nine under par with a five under par 67 the highlight on the final day.

Meanwhile, Francis McGuirk had to settle for just 584 Euros in prize money after falling away in his last two rounds. McGuirk, from Sandwich, shared the lead after day one after carding an eight under par 64.

He followed that up with a 69 on Friday, but rounds of 73 and 78 saw the Kent golfer slip down the leaderboard and ended the tournament in joint 53rd place.

Matt Haines from Rainham will take home 352 Euros after ending the four days in 69th place with an impressive 67 and 73 in the opening two days, making the cut, but fell away over the weekend, carding a 79 and 81 on Saturday and Sunday.
