The South London Press has reported that Charlton have had a bid of around £500,000 accepted for Barnsley striker, Chris O’Grady.
O’Grady netted 15 times for Barnsley in 43 games last season.
The Nottingham born 28-year-old is a muscular, 6’3″ target man and the type of striker the Addicks have lacked of recent times.
He is much travelled and has represented eleven clubs, including six loan stints.
Barnsley’s relegation will have alerted Championship clubs of O’Grady’s possible availability. Charlton are not alone in wanting the powerful frontman, but having agreed a fee with the Tykes, they will be hoping to conclude a deal quickly.
Both Bolton and Charlton have now confirmed that Dorian Dervite will join the Trotters on 1 July.
