Kent Cricket have announced that Kent Female Talent Pathway graduate Coco Streets is Kent Women’s Vice Captain for the 2025 season.
The first player to be announced for 2025 in Kent Women’s first Tier 2 squad to play alongside skipper Megan Belt, Streets will continue to assist Kent Women’s Captain this Summer, after taking on Vice Captaincy duties in the 2024 season.
22-year-old Streets, who plays her club cricket for Tunbridge Wells, was named Women’s Players’ Player of the Year by her teammates at the 2024 Spitfire Kent Cricket Awards, also picking up the Women’s Fielder of the Year award in a season in which she took on higher-order batting duties alongside her occasional right-arm seam bowling.
Across Kent Women matches this past Summer, Streets has averaged 24.84 with the bat in 14 matches, including three 50+ scores and a best of 69 against Middlesex in the Vitality Women’s County T20 in July.
On signing on for 2025 in a leadership role, Streets said: “I’m thrilled to be announced as Kent’s Vice Captain going into our first Tier 2 season.
“As someone that has progressed through our excellent Female Talent Pathway, this is an exciting opportunity for us as players to be at the top level of our Tier in 2025, and to stake our case to move up to Tier 1 at the earliest opportunity, by performing well on and off the field.”
Kent’s Head of Women’s Cricket, Lucy Arman, said: “Coco is a talented young player that has come through the ranks here at Kent, and already has the required attributes to be a leader in our squad for 2025 and beyond.
“She is a big part of our multi-format batting lineup and is also able to be an effective option with the ball for us if required.
“This is the first of many announcements to follow regarding our squad for 2025 – watch this space!”
Further players for Kent Women’s Tier 2 squad in 2025 will be confirmed very shortly.
