Maidstone United Football Club are looking to recruit managers for their prospective Elite Development Squads at Under 7 and 8, as well as managers for their Under 9 and Under 13 Elite Youth Squads for the 2013/14 season.
The club, which are running the squads in conjunction with Soccer Elite FA, are looking for managers with a progressive, player-centred approach to developing young footballers – with the ultimate aim of seeing those players move through the age groups and earn a place in the Maidstone United first team.
The investment offered for selected coaches and managers will mirror the coaching pathway experienced by those associated with professional academy set ups, ensuring that your contribution to it’s success will be repaid by your progression through the coaching system. The identification policy for suitable candidates will be underpinned by the Standards of Deployment associated with coaches working within professional set ups – however a combination of behavioural characteristics, technical know-how and personal delivery styles will all form part of the criteria used to fill the available roles.
Maidstone United are a rapidly growing and ambitious non-league club, with first team matches attracting an average attendance of over 1,650. This is down to the building of the new Gallagher Stadium in the heart of the town, a facility which boasts a FIFA 2 Star Graded synthetic pitch (the highest grade in world football) that is used for first team games and youth training and matches.
Applicants should email their CV and a covering letter to Maidstone United Youth Development Officer Tyke Harvey at [email protected]. Applicants of interest will be contacted with a view to attending an interview and taking a practical session at the Gallagher Stadium. The role will initially be on an unpaid, part-time basis, with coaches expected to lead sessions at the Gallagher Stadium on Saturday mornings and/or Wednesday evenings, depending on which age group they work with.
The closing date for applications is 28 February 2013.
