Two teams desperate for a win meet in the National League on Saturday when Bromley travel up to Edgeley Park face Stockport County.
The Ravens, who are without a win in five games, have slipped to seventh place in the table on 51 points from 34 games, while their hosts, who haven’t won in eight attempts, sit in eleventh on 47 points from 34 matches.
Bromley drew their last match 2-2 on Saturday coming back from 2-0 down at home to Solihull Moors with late goals from Frankie Raymond and Corey Whitely, while Stockport drew 1-1 at Dagenham & Redbridge Liam McAlinden putting The Hatters in front in 88 minutes before The Daggers equalised in injury time to deny Jim Gannon’s side a much need victory.
Bromley manager Neil Smith was pleased with his sides response at the weekend, but was also clear that they shouldn’t have found themselves in that position and is looking to cut out the defensive errors that have cost his side so dear in recent weeks.
County, in their first season following promotion from National League North, have had an up and down campaign so far, struggling to find consistency to challenge at the top, but more than enough to avoid flirting with relegation.
When the teams met at Hayes Lane in October they drew 2-2 with Bromley taking the lead through Reeco Fairchild-Hackett before Stockport went 2-1 up with goals from Elliott Osborne & Tom Walker, only for The Ravens to equalise via an own goal minutes later.
This match looks set to be equally as tight as both sides need to rediscover their winning touch if they are to keep in the play off picture going into the final twelve games.
